Mystery Man Matthew Fox is "Fox Fudoshin"

"Fox Fudoshin"

"Fudoshin" is a Japanese word meaning immovable heart. It's also a type of jujitsu. Apparently Matthew Fox was so taken with the word that he used it as his professional name. Formerly a bouncer at the defunct Seven Points Sound music venue, the UNA student was working for Arx Mortis in October, more specifically on the night of October 17th, the alleged night of Amanda Taylor's murder.

While Fox and Laurel Pruett have been charged with murder along with Ronald Weems, they would appear to be accessories after the fact. No matter where Matthew Fox was at the time of the murder, he helped dispose of the body. Our sources say both Fox and Pruett can expect a sentence of 10 to 15 years for their parts in this heinous crime.

We will have an update on Laurel Pruett tomorrow.

Big doings at ECM? We understand that RegionalCare will hold a press conference at 3:00 p.m. Thursday. Will they be announcing the new location of a regional hospital? A new CEO? The purchase of their media yes-man, the TimesDaily? Stay tuned...

Don't forget the candlelight vigil in memory of Amanda Taylor tonight at 7:00 on the Colbert County Courthouse lawn. We would appreciate any photos our readers might send.

  1. The police department said that the motive may have been over a lost child support check that belonged to Pruett. Weems accused Amanda of taking it. I'm sure the check was just misplaced, in a house that I'm sure was not clean and tidy. How very stupid of Weems. He needs to get the death penalty for sure. I'm sure our community will be happy to take care of that. The other 2 butt heads need at least life in prison for sure. None of them will ever see the light of day again.

  3. I was wondering why Ronald Weems did this terrible act....over a lost check....that is how much Amanda's life was worth? Supid evil people in today's world....she obviously trusted Ronald Weems, and he betrayed her trust in the most defiled way....God be with Amanda's family.........

  4. As for sentences, if Fox can prove he was working in Killen at the time of the murder, he cannot be charged for that in any way unless he helped plan it, which we doubt. We don't know where Laurel Pruett was when Amanda was present and we won't speculate here, but if she was there, then she could be charged with more and receive a much longer sentence. We have to ask why Weems called Fox and why Fox agreed to help dispose of the body. Was it worth it?

  5. I love my brother Fox and no matter what I always will. People make bad decisions even if you don't condone the action if you care at all you stand beside them not behind them right or wrong and suffer along with them to let them know they are not alone.

  6. Didn't I read somewhere that they found the "missing" child support check on the day they reported her missing(10-19-11) So they killed her over a check that Pruitt assumed she stole. How stupid and cruel is that? What is this world coming to? Praying for Amanda's family and the innocent children that the suspects have also because they(the children) are also victims.
