The Last Ten Minutes of Amanda Taylor's Life

Ron Weems, aka Ron Wikkid, aka Stark Raven

Ronald Eugene Weems has admitted to strangling Amanda Leeth Taylor, using a nylon strap. Such deaths are called ligature strangulation and usually require a great amount of physical strength to commit. Victims are often those who can't fight back due to their size or physical condition, e.g., women, children, handicapped, or elderly. Weems had scratch marks on his arms, so we know Amanda fought back--at least at first.

Nylon Strapping

In order to commit ligature strangulation, Weems would have to overpower Amanda, then quickly tighten the nylon ligature. A healthy woman, Amanda may have been able to breathe for as long as one minute. It would then take as much as five minutes for her to die due to oxygen deprivation.

In all, it may have taken Ronald Weems seven to 10 minutes to subdue and kill Amanda. This was no crime in which a gun was hastily picked up and fired. Ronald Eugene Weems, aka Ron Wikkid, acted deliberately and forcefully to take Amanda Taylor's life. He did so in the basement of his Moss Avenue home with his mother and small child sitting upstairs, oblivious to the ongoing violence beneath them.

Amanda Leeth Bailey Taylor

This is how Amanda Taylor's life ended. If this isn't Capital murder, we don't know what would constitute the crime. Weems and two others charged in the death will appear before a Colbert County judge sometime today, a judge who will appoint Weems an attorney. We don't envy any lawyer charged with defending Juggalo Ronald Weems.

Ashley Fawn Greenhill, aka Ash Lette
Pictured at 2008 Arrest for Felony Torture of her Child

Several have asked why Ashley Greenhill, aka Ash Lette, was not arrested as an accessory after the fact, especially since both Laurel Pruett and Matthew Fox were. For whatever reason, aspiring model Greenhill had become concerned that Amanda's body would be found, or that someone, possibly Fox, would go to the police. She decided to cut a deal with the authorities, stressing that she had heard about the killing only accidentally. Our sources say the three defendants will dispute Greenhill's version of the events, but it remains to be seen if she will be charged.

We have to ask how the participants in this mangy menage found each other. We know Laurel Pruett was so desperately in love with Ron Weems that she wouldn't let him go, even knowing the worst. Was Matt Fox similarly enthralled by Ashley Greenhill? If any of these cases comes to trial, it will obviously be standing room only.

Thought for the day: Have you ever viewed a movie that was so bad, not only did you not care what happened to any of the characters, you actually hoped something bad would?

  5. I can't even imagine what this poor girl went through the final minutes of her life. Its hard to wrap your mind around what this guy did to her. This IMO is a death penalty case. I hope justice for Amanda is served,I hope they give this pathetic excuse for a human being the electric chair.

  6. My daughter went to high school with Ashley Greenhill. The felony torture of her child charge is from her biting her baby...not once, not twice (which is bad enough), but all over the child's body. I don't think I've ever truly seen pure evil before until looking at the pictures of these people.

  8. Does anyone know why he did this to her? Laurel was so sweet growing up it is hard to believe she could be involved in something like this to snuff out the life of such a beautiful mother. This is definately a sign of the times not ICP music.

  9. Ashley Greenhilluilty is just as guilty as everyonelse...why did it take so long for the police to arrest? Colbert County, all the people involved should get death....but they are already cutting deals.great system we have. 12. I moved from an area out west where murder and crime are a non stop problem for police and the community. I have become desensitized by the violence. However, just to let you all know from my vast experience with Gangs from the area I moved the Juggalo family is one of the worst gang forms that sores under the radar. They are revengeful, sneaky and disrespectful. They wont think twice of doing harm to someone in their way or trying to prosecute one for theirs. I knew of a D.A. That was killed trying to prosecute a Juggalo member and the rest of the family got him. They remind me of the Manson Family.

  13. May God see that Justice Be Served!!! These people are animals to do what they did to Amanda. Murder is one thing, but to torture her while she was fighting for her life & continue to do so by cutting off her fingers & toes & bashing her teeth out with a hammer & then continue to torture her family goes way beyond the crime of just murder. God will Prevail & Justice will Be Served...everyone that can please attend every hearing & help protest for "JUSTICE for AMANDA & Her FAMILY." We will hold signs & pictures & Chant her name every time they each are escorted into the courthouse. God Bless the Leeth Family!!!

  14. I agree to not let her memory be forgotten but to become martyrs and protesters each time they are brought in and out of the court house is not only NOT healthy for her family but it is disruptive to the court and its proceedings. Please think twice before yelling out chants "Justice for Amanda"

  15. Really what does him being a juggalo have anything to do with this? Juggalos are no worse than the kiss army or dead heads. Kinda sick of hearing about juggalos in this. Theres people doing dumb stuff from every walk of life, not just juggalos. If your persecute an entire group for the actions of a minor few of that group here then you need to do it every where. Hell not too long ago a pro-lifer shot a man dead in a church. That doesnt make the entire group bad just the retard that did that dead.

  16. Dont get me wrong i think dude deserves to be castrated with a wooden spoon and beaten to death with a black jack. Im just saying that him being a juggalo and listening to icp has nothing to do with the murder. The victim was also a juggalette as well as the others involved so it should be irrelevant considering the vic and the perps were the same in that respect. What happened to people just accepting that people are responsible for there actions, not movies or music or video games? Seems like the world has lost all common sense. I think what people should really be focused on right now is pruett making death threats to all the girl friends of weems for snitching.

  18. Bible says an eye for an eye...just sayin. I personally cant believe Ron did this...I know he did because he confessed, but I'm willing to bet laurel played a bigger part than she's admitting...

  19. 1.) ICP has nothing to do with this entire case. I'm sick and tired of seeing the news, blog posts, Facebook posts, etc...bashing the Juggalo family because these people committed a crime. The Juggalo family is NOT a gang. They are what they say they are...a family. They find common ground in the music they listen to. That does NOT mean that they all murder and torture people. Nor does it mean that they are all criminals. I went to high school with a few Juggalos and Juggalettes and they are just the same as you and me. They have children, are in committed relationships, and obeying the law.

2.) How dare ANYONE wish such horrid things on these people. Yes, it is our governments duty to give them life in prison, the death penalty, etc. BUT, wishing torture, castration, and beatings on them is only drawing bad karma to you. If you are disgusted by the way these people acting, then quit acting like them. I'm positive Weems, Pruett, and Greenhill have all wished death on someone. Obviously, since they took the life of an innocent woman. That being said, anyone who is wishing horrible things to happen to these people in DETAIL...you all need help. The Bible may say "an eye for an eye" but, nowhere in the Bible does it say that YOU have the right to judge anyone but yourself.

Keeping Amanda's family in my thoughts. I'll be following this story until the end. I hope that the people involved take in their last minutes of freedom because it won't last long.

  20. I never said I wished bad upon them or that I had the right to judge raychel. I'm saying I think people need to stop trying to be all lynch mobbish...juggalos are considered by law enforcement to be an official gang as of this year just so you know. However, I do believe there are a few twists that will come out in this case...we aren't being told everything. As it stands noe Ron is the only person admitting to taking her life. So, murder won't stick on all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Raychel...just wondering are you not judging the earlier posters for "judging" them? If so then why is your "sin" any more/less sinful?

Also, to the one that posted the criteria for the DP does that mean you think they will/will not be eligible for the DP? I'm sorry I'm just confused on that one.

Actually the "eye for an eye" statement in the Bible is in the 1st Testament which not a lot of people follow these days. I understand why people accept the eye for an eye theory...not saying that I do/don't just depending on the situation but I think it's kind of hypocritical to go by the 1st Testament only when it fits your agenda. Just my opinion though.

Also I think that the whole ICP/juggalo/juggalette thing is rediculous. I do understand you can't judge a group of people by only 1 person but really how many times do we as society do that? Example: When you see a person of Hispanic ancestory how many times do you "assume" they are illegals or out to commit crime? How many times have you assumed that all "crack-heads" rob/steal/prostitute etc? I am not going to lie and say that I've never done this....truth is I have and still do.

I do think though, that birds of a feather flock together. Such as pothead hang with potheads, christians with christians, winos with winos, juggalo/juggalette with their own. I know this probably isn't right, but I do judge you by the people you hang out with. Stephanie, you have been very disrespectful to Amanda's family which also proves my theory. Also you should really be careful who you associate with. I wouldn't admit that they are/were my friends. Just think that could have been your family looking for your remains.
Sorry ya'll I got long winded on this one lol.

  22. All of you trying to quote scripture with this eye for an eye nonsense...why don't you study up on what it actually means? Those scriptures were given to us to remind us to RESTRAIN ourselves from taking revenge too far. If someone lost an eye, then the other person should lose one too, or make monetary restitution in equal value of the eye.

    Also consider this passage:
Romans 12:17 - Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people.
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.
19 Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
20 Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing this you will be heaping burning coals on his head.
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I'm sorry if I'm coming across as preachy, but if you're going to bring the Bible into this, at least do it right.

  23. Everyone is allowed to interpret the bible any way they wish...and in fact they do, but let's just not add the bible to the mix. According to the law they did wrong. Depending on a jury they may or may not get away with it. Without evidence beyond a reasonable doubt (if the confessions are not allowed into evidence) they'll probably walk.

  24. I worked with ashley months before this wow im speechless

  25. Tiffany,

The things that I said were not judgmental. The proof of them acting this way is right in front of our faces...in plain text. I am simply stating that placing judgment on one that is not yourself probably isn't in your best interest. Karma does come back to everyone. Not just murderers. You may not have a trial in front of a jury but, you will pay debt to what negativity you have dished out.

Not judging. Just letting these people become aware of their negative actions. Apparently no one has heard "what goes around, comes around". Meaning, what you give is what you get back.

My encouraging people to be more positive rather than negative is not a "sin" :)
