An Interesting Contribution for Frank Williamson?

Artwork by Reader
From a reader:

Since Frank Williamson isn't running as being a family man but as a Sheriff who is going to fight drugs and crime.... here is his latest contribution list. It has listed a large amount of money from White Oak Farms and one finally says White Oak Farms/William T. Gargis, Sr. Now see the link below that shows an indictment again Tony Gargis, Sr. & Tony Gargis, Jr. This should give proof beyond a doubt that Frank Williamson is taking money from those who are on the opposite side of the law. His pockets are getting VERY greased.

*****

Of course, in the Shoals, if those who had never run afoul of the law were the only ones to contribute, few candidates would receive any contributions. We'll have more on this later.

  1. Well can I please comment on your latest on Frank Williamson? I know Frank, I know Tony Sr. I know Tony Jr. I know Jim Berryman and I know the present but not for long sheriff Ronnie May. What is really disappointing me is that all of these people are supposed to be COLBERT COUNTY DEMOCRATS! Now I hear that the present sheriff May is considering a write in campaign? Maybe or maybe not. If this happens then the democrats in this county should castrate sheriff May and send him to the republicans. Sore loser! He wanted his "shoo in" Berryman so he could still be in control. NOT! DID NOT WORK! So. where does this leave us? We clearly do not want the present administration to stay in office. If he had wanted to stay as "our sheriff", then why did he not run? COLBERT COUNTY, are you ready to go REPUBLICAN? Are you ready for die heard democrats to support a Republican because you did not get your way? Mrs. May and Mrs. Berryman, You two are Hippocrates. You two are the ones that are behind all of this. Not your husbands. Neither of them have the intestinal fortitude to do that. Frank Williamson outright won the Democratic nomination for the sheriff of Colbert County! He deserves to assume that job and the responsibility, Unless Colbert goes Republican for the first time in many years. It just rather irritates me that your post are always condemning others when you really do not KNOW the FACTS! I know most of them (and not all) are contributed by others like myself. I sure hope you post mine.

  3. Sounds like we need to know a bit more about the people running

  4. If the Gargis family is "running a foul of the law" then why has our current sheriff or his "chief deputy" not arrested him? If they are out of jail then I think they have complied to all requirements to be out of jail. Correct me if I am wrong. So are the Gargis's running "a foul of the law"? Just answer this: YOU said they are "running a foul of the law" ARE THEY"?

    1. No, our words were "had never run afoul of the law." That could mean an arrest 50 years ago. That was our point--many attorney, physicians, etc. have felony convictions. It doesn't mean the person isn't worthwhile.

  5. The Gargis family was charged with misdemeanor assault several years ago. They served their time and have been in no trouble to speak of since. I wouldn't exactly consider accepting a campaign donation from them as a huge negative. They are a well to do farming family, but they certainly aren't hard core criminals (or atleast not in any public records). If they are so called hard core criminals then why has the current administration done nothing to them??
