How Much Time Will Amanda Watkins Serve?/Brian Felber Updates

After being convicted of second degree rape and sodomy, just how much time will Amanda Duboise Watkins serve? More to the point, does Watkins deserve actual prison time?

Those questions will be answered by Judge Jackie Hatcher at Watkins' sentencing. She may receive probation, or at the other end of the spectrum she may receive a hefty sentence. We doubt the latter will be the case.

Such sentences usually run concurrently, and taking Correctional Incentive Time into consideration, if sentenced to the minimum of two years, Watkins would again be a free woman in approximately eight months. In other words, her sentence would be so short that she might be released before a date for a parole hearing could be set. Currently, Amanda Watkins remains free on her original bond.
