Term Limits and More!

We're always amused, if not horrified, at the political beliefs of many. Term limits is a subject we'll be discussing, and our blog welcomes any comments. Today let's think about term limits for our congress. We're seeing many mention 12 years, or even six. Usually two senate terms and three house terms are mentioned. Some also want to abolish pensions for these officials. How would that work?

Let's say you're a success in your field, be it business or the law or whatever. So you're 30 or 40 and want to serve. Would you leave your business for six or 12 years to go to Washington, DC? Remember, if you're coming home in a relatively short time, you won't want to sell your business, but you won't be there to run it. You'll be maintaining two residences. Then after these six or 12 years, you'll be 36 or 52 or whatever. You'll have a possibly failing business and no pension. Would you want to serve in congress?

How many good men and women would decide to run if the above conditions were in effect? Think about that and send us your ideas on term limits.

The wait is on. Tomorrow we'll all be happy or sad or somewhere in between. Rejoice, we can all take a shower to get some of this mud off. Now, while not WWI era, here's something appropriate for tonight:
