We blogged yesterday concerning Elijah Tanner Graham's recent Red Bay arrest for possession of a controlled substance--non marijuana and drug paraphernalia. According to Graham's Facebook page, this is not his first arrest, meaning he has already used his one ticket for youthful offender status.
Franklin County does not have drug court per se; in other words, probation for this offense is not a given, but could be considered likely. If you feel that this young man, a man who took part in the assault against David Martin Andrasik last November, should be incarcerated for these drug crimes, we urge you to write:

Contacting us: We had some questions yesterday on how to contact us anonymously. While we can assure you we do not divulge sources, we can also understand anyone's desire for anonymity when communicating about one's employer or an elected official.
We suggest using G-Mail in order to set up a quick and anonymous e-mail account. It takes less than five minutes.
We've been promised a copy of the letter sent to over a dozen Alabama agencies concerning a local sheriff. We'll have it scanned and published as soon as possible. We realize there are always two sides to a story and will welcome any rebuttal.

ReplyDeleteFree, and keeps the idiots (at various OTHER blogs and forums) from backtracking to who you are.
You mean there are actually blogs and forums that publish lies about people? Let me guess...the same three women and one man are responsible for both? These four (or has one left the fold?) would actually reveal names? True, but they don't seem to get that many right, do they? Just think, without those sites we wouldn't know that 99.99% of the Shoals population is gay or are convicted axe murderers...
DeleteWell, they had a page view of about 20,000 last time I looked, but if you count all the fake personas and divide that by 3 (one may have left)you get about 25. LOL
DeleteLies, more lies, and even more lies. Real names (of people not even involved in any of the mess) trashed for no other reason than they are all mentally ill and paranoid.
Lies, lies and more lies. I got tired of even reading it. If you took all the fake screen names and divided them by 3, you would get about 20 people who have viewed it, maybe.
DeleteI'm surprised that the site is not hit for libel..
I know of at least two individuals who have consulted attorneys. I think the main problem is the initial outlay of funds in order to get the case going. BTW, libel in Alabama requires three elements: Published lie, known as lie when published, and loss of financial or social standing for the one(s) lied about. I think the first two would be easy to prove. The third? I certainly think some have lost business over it, but you would have to prove it. We'll see...
DeleteSorry for the double posts. Didn't think the first one went through.
ReplyDeleteI would think that the constant bad press of a family restaurant causing it to lose business and eventually fail would be easy to prove, but I'm no lawyer and laws seem to benefit the lawless.
