The Hendrix/Dombrowski Moral Dilemma

 

The truth is slowly emerging about Debra Anne Dombrowski's position in the City of Florence. It's nothing new. Councilman Hendrix had secured his wife a seat on the tree commission quite some time ago. As for it paying "nothing," we'll let you be the judge of that, as well as to whether it's ethical or not.

Each member is paid 100.00 per month...or they're paid nothing. It depends on whom one asks and what one calls "nothing." Hendrix was chair and may have been paid more. No matter, it could amount to at least $2,400.00 per year for a husband and wife. Again we say, is this ethical? There are seven members, meaning that Henski (she's wife number two and he's husband number three according to credit reports) makes up 27.5% of that body.

For this $100.00 per month (or zilch), each commissioner attends a short monthly meeting. Once a year, a symposium of sorts is offered to the public. We will assume meals are provided during the planning and execution of the symposium. Someone provides the chairs, marquees, and whatever for this annual event. Is it Party Pros, a company owned by Hendrix? He recently furnished the necessities for the city's Memorial Day event.

We have assumed Hendrix would be stepping down from the tree commission. Now that the public knows the truth, obviously both need to exit stage right. Instead of having friends attack media that promote honesty, they need at least to avoid the appearance of evil.

The past few days or so we've been seeing more and more posters from around the country offering their opinions on national elections. We're willing to let some of these comments stand no matter which side of the aisle they represent; however, we're also seeing some new words, or at least words not on our blocked list.

No matter the candidate, Democrat or Republican, any vulgar reference to the female body will be deleted and the poster will be banned permanently. That would also usually go for male body, but let's face it, some are horses' patoots. Tread carefully.
