Jivin' Jackie Shuns Transparency

 

The Florence Detective blogged yesterday that he had hoped the city's recently acquired jive turkey Jackie Hendrix would abstain from voting on Eugene Sak's new Reverb Hotel project. We had hoped he would at least preface his vote by publicly announcing his decades old friendship and business relationship with the developer. No such luck...or honesty.

Now we're back to a vote on some big time incentives. This next step is slated for August 20th at the regularly scheduled council meeting. Michelle Eubanks has already announced she opposes these incentives. 

And the Kalamazoo Reverb? It was contracted to be open by the Fall of 2023. So far there has been zero construction.
