UPDATE: ALDANI FAITH BYRD FOUND

This is Aldani Faith Byrd of Killen; she's missing for the second time this year. In May, the rising Brooks junior argued with her mother and disappeared for several days while ostensibly trying to make it to Birmingham. Byrd's mother Angela Fountain lives in Killen, and her father in Tuscumbia. After returning home, Byrd began a stint in the Lauderdale County Attention Home for girls. According to reports, Byrd has again absconded.

If you see Byrd, please call the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office at 760-5757. More photos of Byrd may be viewed at her Facebook page: Link

UPDATE: Byrd has been found around 4:30 p.m. We hope this is her last foray into escape.

How well will City of Florence police contend with texters who drive, or should that be drivers who text? From one reader:

FPD refuses to enforce the current ban on skateboarders downtown, so why should they enforce this latest ordinance? At times, especially on 'First Fridays', one cannot walk without fear of being run over. Skateboarders flaunt their contempt for the ban by skateboarding all around the Lauderdale County courthouse in plain sight of passing FPD officers.
