New Alabama IQ Numbers

 

Those ubiquitous ads that say the average IQ is 100? Guess what...it's dropped two points in the U.S.

Bottom five? Do we have to say it? The average Alabama I.Q. is actually in the bottom seven since there were some ties.

What is wrong in this state? Why are so many satisfied with the status quo?

Here's a story that's older than most of our readers: It was the early 1960s when televisions were as big as Buicks, considered a long-term investment, and none had Japanese names.

It was a Saturday when the Zenith repairman received a call to go to a home in Sheffield. When he arrived, he was met by a Sheffield police officer waving a gun. His television wasn't working and he wanted to watch the ball game. Fix it!

The repairman was tempted to run, but he was making a great deal of money for his Saturday call, so he entered the living room. The officer sat down, still holding the gun.

There in one corner of the living room was a television with five bullet holes in a perfect line in the center of the screen. The repairman managed to escape with his life, but the Zenith was declared dead.
