Pettus (the First!) Dismissed from Election Challenge

 

Phillip Pettus (the First!), according to a press release, has been dismissed from the challenge against several Lauderdale primary elections. The official announcement indicated that the suit in District 2 is ongoing. The others named in the challenge were not mentioned, and presumably will be addressed by the steering committee on Tuesday. The others include Scott Jones, Phillip Pettus (the Second!), and Tim Melson.

Pettus Sr., or as he prefers to be called Pettus I, is a former salvage entrepreneur and Alabama state trooper. He is seeking a third term in the Alabama house.
