How to end the pandemic? So far we've learned that lay lawmakers know more than educators, but that educators know more than those with medical degrees. How are local educators handling COVID in their schools? Let's just say it from our armchair - Not well!

Please, please tell us why the health of students, teachers, and the general public is sacrificed in a CYA attempt by Tuscumbia school administrators? If these are the ones who are to lead the next generation out into a productive world, we are truly doomed to a future as a Chinese colony...and not even a first rate one at that.

ReplyDeleteThe way to defeat this pandemic was taught by the Bill Clinton school of dragon killing. When there is a problem, get on it and make it worse, then declare it dead and it will go away. We are in the second stage now, the government has taken charge, and it is getting worse. The next step is to declare it dead. This will happen when the numbers start to decline. It will be easy to kill this paper dragon because it wasn't that bad to begin with. We are not all going to die!

ReplyDeleteWhile unfortunately, I came late to the game and was not able to read the communication from the source, I can sort of get an idea about where this blog was headed. I've been waiting for this subject for MONTHS! I myself am, unfortunately, a parent of 2 small children within TCS. More specifically a parent with a kindergartener and 2nd grader at G.W. Trenholm Primary School. My 2nd grader was held back last year by Principal Veronica Bayles because "she missed too many days being sick instead of in school learning." My child had all necessary drs excuses for excused absences, but was not granted them. Instead of receiving her makeup work, we instead recieved a court summons for TRUANCY! On our court day, instead of listening to our side, listening to the nurses who requested subpoenas to testify or even accepting tangible evidence of the contrary, my husband and I were found guilty of "neglecting parental responsibilities." I then learned we would now have an open case with the Juvenile Probation Office, and for the icing on top, we cannot leave TCS unless we move districts. Then came the Delta Variant. We were COVID positive for the 1st 2 weeks of school in August. She personally called the JPO for arrest warrants issued. I provided all drs excuses, but she claimed I STOLE THE DRS EXCUSE BOOK! Veronica Bayles then SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE with two medical release forms demanding I sign them, granting her permission to have access to my children's medical files for confirmation! I declined. I gave permission to our JPO officer instead, to prove I had not stolen a physician's property. Our JPO officer now believes she is crazy! He is now trying to overturn the courts decision along with helping us change school districts. When my children were able to go to school, they had masks on their faces, with extra masks, hand sanitizer, and Lysol wipes in their backpacks. Later at pick up, nobody had masks on, including my kids. I was FURIOUS! My daughter told me she was pressured BY HER TEACHER into taking it off. I was then informed their hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes were confiscated because they were a distraction.They have been absent more than they have been present, because, as their Dr explained to me, their immune systems were wiped and haven't had the chance to recuperate. My 2nd grader was one of the first people in the WORLD to contract 2 different strains of COVID-19 IN LESS THAN 60 DAYS! All because that "SCHOOL" refuses to follow the guidelines given by the APA, the ADPH, and the CDC.

Because The ALSDE received ONLY $7.7 BILLION for theiR budget, which $9.7 million of it was dedicated to TCS. The amount is allocated based on enrollment. Basically, students being absent from school reduces their checks. So, instead of being worried about the student's health, greed takes over. They don't care if the kids are sick, or parents are scared to send them to a COVID breeding ground; they only care about money. It's as simple as that.
Please investigate this further. I promise you it is full of corruption and greed. I could go on for DAYS over dealing with Veronica Bayles, G.W.Trenholm, and Tuscumbia City Schools, but Ive already run out of space. As far as your source, who is terrified of retaliation, I'm sorry they are forced to feel that way. However, I am not scared. I have all necessary documents proving our innocence, and because of Veronica Bayles callous and vindictive move, I now also have my children's pediatrics office as well as the Colbert County Juvenile Probation Office backing my family 100% in any and everything they chose to throw at me.

ReplyDeletePlease do please let me know! My attorney (NO longer applies as current title) told me "They have rules. Their rules are from the state department. Maybe it's better to not poke the beast." That quote is the exact reason I stated I would no longer need her services. I simply responded: "Poke the beast? Honey, that's already happened, why do you think we are here. I'm not trying to poke the beast, they messed with my kids, I want to slay the beast."
ReplyDeleteAny information, tips, tricks, or advice is extremely appreciative and at this point warranted as a public service. They will not silence me. Every day my children are forced to attend that school is one more day I obtain new information or evidence that adds fuel to my fire.
Today's latest: "Right now there are several teachers with documented cases of gastroenteritis present in class, teaching, due to "a severe lack of certified substitute teachers to cover all of the sick teachers throughout PreK-12th grade. When there aren't any remaining substitutes available from the (Tuscumbia City Schools) board (of education's) list, those that are available are to cover for those (teachers) whose illnesses are the most severe."
Yea. Direct quote from an employee of TCS. One of those teachers with Gastroenteritis, confirmed directly from her own mouth, is my daughter's teacher.
Guess who won't be going to school tomorrow???
