Walt Maddox Monday Night!

Don't forget that Democratic candidate for governor Walt Maddox will be speaking Monday night at the IUOE hall at 405 Dr Hicks Blvd. in Florence on May 21st. Doors will open at 6 pm. Anyone interested in Walt's positions can visit his website at: www.waltmaddox.com.  Walt is a "middle of the road" Democrat. His positions on issues show a bi-partisan attitude.

Let's all take an objective look at each candidate. Together, we can make Alabama a two-party state again. That doesn't mean "liberal." That means a middle of the road state that is moving forward into the 21st Century, not stuck in 1925.

Let's also work to bring honesty to each party. We're hearing of more stolen campaign signs, especially in Colbert County. Not all "feel good" acts are illegal, some are simply immoral or flout authority (see public institutions desecrating the flag).

However, stealing is definitely a crime. If you see or have video of anyone taking political signs from yards or other private areas, report it. Name names and call the person whose sign was taken. You don't have to support that candidate. You should do this simply because you're honest!
