Not a Christian Document?

 

Due to a comment on the meaning of our criticism of the editorial, for those who aren't Bible scholars, the Ten Commandments are not Christian at all - they are Jewish. Nine of the commandments are reiterated in the New Testament.

Often when reading the 1819 News, we have to check to be sure it's not really The Babylon Bee. A recent article on the Ten Commandments by Lt. Col. John Eidsmoe stated: ...the 10 Commandments are not exclusively a Christian document. (June 26th opinion column)

He goes on to say that everyone in the United States should follow the law God gave Moses. Perhaps he's a Seventh Day Adventist...or perhaps he simply wouldn't know Shabbat from Halloween.
