Local Chains S&P Says Apt to Close for Good

Let's face it: If we didn't have fast food outlets, many of us would starve. Yet according to most financial pundits, our choices are going to become much more limited. Here, in order of ascending peril, are local (or semi-local) chains that are in trouble:

Outback

KFC

Pizza Hut

Taco Bell

Burger King

Popeye's

Arby's

Sonic

Chili's

Applebees

Panera

Bogangles

Red Lobster

Chuck-E-Cheese

Steak 'n Shake

In other words, Outback could be in trouble, but not nearly as much as Steak 'n Shake. We don't know about you, but we see five that we frequent regularly and one or two that we visit at least periodically.
