The above weapon is an AR15...at least one version of the weapon. We trust most of our readers know what a shotgun looks like. According to a local political activist, two such weapons were stolen from a law enforcement vehicle in Muscle Shoals this week. Yes, an unlocked vehicle with these weapons in the back seat.
From what we've read over the years, these guns made it to Chicago or Detroit within a matter of hours. Or did they? In case you haven't noticed, the political scene in North Alabama is becoming more radicalized by the minute.
Our guess is that the weapons were stolen strictly for their value in a large Northern gun market and will never see the Shoals again. We're also going to posit that one local law enforcement officer has just forfeited at least one paycheck, if not his job.
As somebody once said, there's a difference between a failure and a fiasco. A failure is simply the non-presence of success. Any fool can accomplish failure. But a fiasco, a fiasco is a disaster of mythic proportions. - Elizabethtown, 2005.
