What Did You Expect from the Lauderdale County Commission?

We're at a loss as to why Project Say Something is blaming the City of Florence for the current debacle over the CSA monument. The city attorney for Florence has asked the county to give written permission to move the monument, which the county has denied.

Does this surprise anyone? When has the county commission ever been responsive to the citizens of Lauderdale County? Paradise Drive? No...still no work done on that death trap. Enforcing animal laws? The county has claimed due to home rule that it has no right to enforce laws already on the books.

Basically, what you get for your money, is four men who draw a check to sign checks to pay utilities, salaries, and of course those building the Ag Center. Speaking of that, how is it coming along? Anyone feeling ready to go sit in that expensive new building next to a Coronavirus time bomb?
