Lauderdale County Has Just Oodles of It (But It's Not Money)!

Taken from a Facebook post by Lora Morrow:

Unless a miracle happens tomorrow, Sen. Tim Melson, Rep. Lynn Greer, Rep. Phillip Pettus, Judge Ed Tease, Ronnie Lane, and County Commissioners Joe Hackworth and Roger Garner will put our children and grandchildren in debt, for the next 40 years, to the tune of ...

$77 MILLION DOLLARS!!!

Bonds to cover the Lauderdale County Ag Center project are scheduled to be issued Monday morning. The feasibility study has not been completed and probably will not be in the future. County Commissioners Brad Holmes and Fay Parker are assisting in this travesty by stating the County will back any revenue shortfalls up to an additional $250,000 a year. The County Commission is responsible for creating this Board in the first place.

The only hope is if attorneys representing the City of Florence, Alabama, Lauderdale County Schools or Florence City Schools file an injunction to stop the bond sale. The school systems alone will lose $12 million dollars over the next 40 years. Perhaps Chair Josh Dodd and the Lauderdale County Republican Party could do something since you created these monsters by encouraging straight ticket voting, regardless of candidate character?

There you have it. Any announcements of forthcoming injunctions? Not a word, so don't hold your breath.

We can see it now: Visit the Lauderdale Agriculture Center to see the largest collection of bovine manure in the world!
