Russellville Woman Charged with Illegal Voting

 

An undocumented individual has been charged in connection with her fraudulent assumption of a United States citizen’s identity and her use of that identity to vote in multiple elections and obtain multiple United States passports, announced U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona and Resident Agent in Charge Joseph R. Wysowaty of the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Atlanta Resident Office.

A nine-count information filed in U.S. District Court charges Angelica Maria Francisco, 42, most recently of Russellville, with false claims of citizenship in connection with voting, false statements in application for a United States passport, use of a United States passport obtained by false statements, and aggravated identity theft. A plea agreement was filed with the information, indicating that Francisco has agreed to plead guilty to all of the charges.

According to the information and plea agreement, Francisco assumed the identity of a United States citizen in or around 2011. Francisco used the false identity to obtain a United States passport in 2011. She subsequently used the United States passport to travel to and from her native country of Guatemala in 2012, 2015, and 2018. Using the same false identity, Francisco also registered to vote in Alabama in 2016 and voted in the 2016 and 2020 primary and general elections. And in 2021, Francisco used the same false identity to apply for and receive a renewed passport, which she used to travel to and from Guatemala in 2022.

The Court will set a date for Francisco to enter her guilty plea.

Too Good to Speak a Certain Language? One Boy Was!

We had one persistent critic from yesterday who said that those of us in Lauderdale County were too good to listen to (or apparently speak) another language besides English. We were reminded of this charming true story...

A five year-old boy lay ill at home; his parents called the local physician who in that era made house calls. The physician began to speak to the Cajun child who looked perplexed. It finally dawned on the old country doc that the little boy couldn't speak French.

Why, it was child abuse he told the boy's parents. A boy that age who speaks only English? Outrageous. 

The little boy's parents told the physician that they would teach their child French after he had started and become acclimated to school. So how did the child turn out?

He was Jimmy Yves Newman, who performed professionally as Jimmy C. Newman - the "C" was for Cajun. If you've sadly never heard of him, you've missed something. One of the things most people in life miss are the right priorities. Jimmy's parents didn't.

It's a Little Too Quiet...

...in Franklin County. The TimesDaily usually sallies forth with an article of rebuttal after the state makes any legal pronouncements concerning immigration, but it has remained strangely quiet about the evolving federal plan to bring both legal and illegal immigrants into the wonderful world of citizenship. While not yet complete, the plan is hardly an illegal's dream.

As it stands now, the initial fee for filing an application for citizenship is just $680.00. In future, it will be $2,680.00. Welcome to the United States of Taxation.

Perhaps local illegals could find the federal equivalent of Kendra Herring?

It's Saturday night, do you know where your microwave is? Yes, your microwave. It's probably in your kitchen, right; but just how high up is it? Could a short three year old reach it? We're guessing the answer is no. That doesn't mean all microwaves are placed at such heights, but we bet most are.

So we're to believe a three year-old girl, a short Hispanic Indian three year-old, reached up and opened the microwave door, then reached in and extracted a bowl of boiling soup. Maybe she did...but maybe she didn't.

We've also read an article that seemed to state the girl couldn't have received that kind of burn if she had been standing up. If that's true, was she being held down? There's more holes to this story than are in Mothra's closet.

Now we have the loving mother, Annali Vasquez, an illegal alien, attempting to escape, attacking a Russellville police officer as she did so. This woman can't take proper care of her eyebrows, much less a child. Please, someone...anyone...take this wonderful mother and father to the Mexican border and leave them.

Have you thought about yesterday's puzzle? Yes, it's related to immigration, so today's revelation that the Vasquez couple are in the country illegally fits right in. And the two groups of children?

The healthy, happy children are on the north side of the U.S. border, while the poverty-stricken youngsters are on the south side. Ahh, you say, well that's it. Remember, these two groups of children are only two miles apart. Can you say one group deserves the basics while the second doesn't?

No, just living in the U.S. does not make one group more entitled than the other. It's not the residency, but the citizenship that should bring entitlement. Our federal government is partially shut down. We have to take care of our own citizens and place them first. There can be no exceptions.

As long as the State of Alabama is giving WIC and other programs to illegal aliens, there are lawful citizens of this state who are suffering needlessly. It cannot continue. This is literally a case of those not being a part of the solution being a part of the problem...a large part.

Let's Play: "It's Your Choice"

The apocalypse came...just like in the movies. You've been assigned to take care of ten children for a
year until they can be transplanted into a new, safe world. Because of the effects of the apocalypse, these children need special food for this twelve-month period in order to not just survive, but thrive. Your problem?

You have only 50% of the rations you know the ten children will require. You can feed all ten with half rations, knowing they will live, but forever be stunted physically and mentally...or you can let five die and feed the remaining five a full ration knowing they will become intelligent productive adults in the new world.

Which do you do?

Now that you've played that game, here's a puzzle for you. Fifty children live in Alleria. They go to school, have adequate food, clothing, and medical care. Two miles away, fifty more children live in Mortura. These children have only cardboard shacks for shelter, scraps for food, and don't go to school.

The question: Don't the children in Mortura deserve just as much as the children two miles away in Alleria? Do you think they should have equal blessings in life, and why don't they?

Anyone in Line 1 feel just a little discriminated against? How about the hard working woman who survived the atrocities of World War II and then had to repay her passage to the U.S.? How about the Indian family who have become citizens, own several business, and still can't get their parents into this country? How about the young Australian woman with a great education, wonderful job prospects, and an American husband? In fact, perhaps she would offer us a few words of wisdom:


Sydney Morris Oh no! You mean that illegals might have to do what EVERY OTHER IMMIGRANT HAS TO DO TO ENTER & STAY IN THE U.S. LEGALLY? Yeah, pay up, get in line, pay again, take the HIV test, pay up some more and wait like the rest of us.

And there are actual citizens who support illegal immigrants who have no job, no education, and slim prospects of ever supporting themselves in this country?
