Phil Campbell Mayor Has Jumped Ship

 

There were rumors of restless natives on Tuesday night in Phil Campbell. At least half the City government took extra precautions and failed to show for the semi-monthly meeting that produced at least 40 in attendance. Then on Wednesday morning, Mayor Michael McQuary tendered his resignation.

Citizens were originally angry about a few dilapidated buildings downtown. Now they're asking if that's the only reason Mayor Mike hot-footed it.
