Jackie Hendrix Says You Need to Trust Him

 

Appointed Florence District 2 councilman Jackie Hendrix has announced that he will be seeking his first elected term in August. At this time, his only announced opposition is River Zurinsky. Candidates have until early June to declare officially.

Why does Jivin' Jackie think he's qualified? In his own words:

While serving on the council for the last six months Hendrix worked to enhance the strength of downtown Florence and all of district 2. If elected he plans to continue this work, prioritizing public safety, quality of life, and economic opportunities for the entire community.

That certainly talks all around it. How about actions? Sidewalk repair? Any kind of action on the WVNA monstrosity by O'Neal Bridge? Any job recruiting? Just any example at all...other than pickle ball.

If you look at Hendrix's resume' on LinkedIn, the only actual job you'll see is his ownership at Party Pros. His resume' also includes 11 volunteer positions. Volunteer means if you walk up and say "I'm in," you get to list that effort on your roster of accomplishments. 

Voters of Florence, aren't you tired of showboaters running your council? Aren't you sick of elected officials with more marriages than actual jobs? Isn't it time for someone who doesn't think "work" is a dirty word?
