Florence Mayoral Candidate Charged with PI

 

A Florence mayoral candidate was charged with Public Intoxication yesterday afternoon. Ricky Don Pickett, 58, a retired NASA engineer, quickly posted bond and was released.

The charge is a misdemeanor and should not affect his ability to appear on the August ballot. Pickett's platform has stressed his connection to the city's common man. Perhaps in this case, he was a little too common?
