Facebook Takes on Bacon Grease

 

We usually don't pay much attention to all the Facebook fact checker posts, merely assuming that at worst there's right on both sides of an issue. Yet a new "fact" appeared yesterday that left us totally bemused. What planet do these FB checkers live on?

We immediately looked on Google images for a vintage bacon grease jar, but we didn't have to settle for vintage - Walmart and other national stores sell these items in 2021:

We once heard someone say that FB fact checker was just another name for New Yawk idiot. It seemed like an ethnocentric value judgment at the time, but now we're not so sure...
