Get Your Moulton Scorecards Here!

First, we have a doozie of a correction about Angel Sanders/Annalisa Gilliespie. We had previously indicated that Gillespie was the domestic violence victim since she is the one who ostensibly married McWhorter, but no. It seems that only Sanders had filed domestic violence charges against McWhorter. She then attempted to ensure her honeybunch remained free by announcing that they were to marry. One week later, McWhorter did marry...Ms. Gillespie.

No wonder Sanders shot Gillespie; we'll assume she was actually aiming for McWhorter. Still no arrests in the shooting. Will there be an update? Nothing is ever a given, but we're tempted to answer "Can a fish swim?"

In case you missed it, Roy Moore's attorney postponed his news conference...for a few months. We have no idea what this means, but unfortunately, we're sure we'll find out.

*****

We're officially endorsing John McMillan for State Treasurer. McMillan has served the state for years not only well, but without a trace of scandal. You have to admit that's an unusual record in Alabama.

Dynasty Moulton Style a/k/a Tim Does Half of Lawrence County

We now continue our story of disgraced former Lawrence County Sheriff's Department chief of staff Tim McWhorter, offering a few addenda as we go:

We've received specific information as to the dates of Tim McWhorter's marriage to his first wife Jennifer Louise Peety. TM and Miss Peety were wed in June 1999 and remained legally married until April 26th of this year and are the parents of a son. The official dissolution of his marriage was three months after TM was placed on leave with the sheriff's department. It was also several months after he became engaged to his erstwhile fiancee' Angel Elizabeth Sanders, with whom he set up housekeeping. A source close to the couple has related that the two met in November 2017, and TM immediately moved in. After all, good home cookin' is hard to find, and McWhorter and his wife had reportedly lived apart since 2013.

Miss Sanders, 34, must have had a most unpleasant surprise when in February of this year a woman from Decatur filed domestic violence charges against the now former deputy. Who was this woman and where did she come from?

According to sources close to TM, Annalisa Michelle Richardson Gillespie had conducted an ongoing affair with TM for around nine years, producing three sons. Our questions now are: Why did it take Jennifer McWhorter so long to divorce her husband? And doesn't anyone out there know what birth control is?

The story becomes even more bizarre when in April, Gillespie filed a second set of domestic violence charges against TM, alleging among other things that he crushed a beer can on her head. By this time TM and Sanders had problems of their own. AS is now alleging that she also is the victim of domestic violence and that TM stole $4,000.00 from her. TM is scheduled to face those charges during an August court date.

While back at the bordello, uh, ranch house, Gillespie in early May dropped her two complaints against TM and announced that the two were going to marry. This is the point where our readers should be thinking of the old saw about "walking around sense," not to mention morals.

Now we come to last Thursday when BuzzFeed did a story on a Latino contract killer known as the Black Hand. The hit man had murdered a man in Lawrence County and also placed TM on his list of targets. Why? It seems that during the investigation into the contact killing, TM had questioned the Black Hand's granddaughter and allegedly hit on her...not in the violent way. We don't know about you folks, but Shoalanda herself gave up trying to juggle that many romantic relationships midway through college. It's called growing up.

If TM thought he had been the subject of media scrutiny on Thursday morning, that was nothing compared to the events of Thursday night when former fiancee' Angel Sanders went to TM's cabinet shop located just outside Moulton. She took a gun along on her visit. Pregnant pause.

We have no real idea why AS took the gun with her, so we'll leave the speculative comments we've received out of this. We do know that once at the cabinet shop she encountered not only McWhorter, but his longtime mistress Gillespie. Accounts here begin to vary, but we do know that Angel shot Annalisa, who was treated and released at a local hospital.

Authorities still have not pressed charges against AS who has claimed self defense. ALEA is investigating due to TM's former position as a deputy. Wait, don't put that popcorn down...

AL.com, always attune to a salacious story, contacted the victim. During the phone interview, Annalisa Gillespie announced that she and TM were recently married. Were they?

Family members of TW posted their surprise on Facebook. Some Lawrence County readers have suggested to us that there is no record of the marriage. Married or no, Tim McWhorter still faces not only Angel Sanders' charges in Morgan County, but the investigation into missing items at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is also ongoing. We've received a great deal of info on other charges that may be brought against TM by the state, but we'll wait for the official ALEA report to address them.

We suggest TM, who always seems to need money, contact an agent. Cable television is more than ready for this story.

Dynasty Moulton Style a/k/a the Tim McWhorter Story

Timothy Lyndon McWhorter is a 38 year-old northwest Alabama man who seems destined to have his own Lifetime movie...or perhaps his story would be more suited to the ID Channel. McWhorter's sad tale might be best presented by our friend and chronicler of crime Nick Ireland, but we'll do our best to bring this tawdry story to Internet life.

This is Tim McWhorter:

McWhorter graduated from High School c. 1998.

At some point, TM married Jennifer Louise (maiden name unknown). They presumably had children together, but from FB posts, these familial ties are so jumbled that it's impossible to tell Mama's Baby from Daddy's Maybe.

In 2003, TM was working as a Lawrence County deputy when he failed to yield the right of way at an intersection in Moulton, striking a vehicle with several passengers and seriously injuring the driver. McWhorter admitted that he had not activated his blue lights or siren, but claimed he had just received a call out, in other words, he was immune from prosecution. The Alabama Supreme Court agreed with McWhorter, who had dodged his first bullet.

In 2007, TM was made head of the property division of the sheriff's department, a position that would later lead to his downfall.

By 2012, TM was a captain in the sheriff's office when he gave a statement at a news conference concerning a Lawrence County High School student who had threatened a shoot-em-up.

By January 2018, TM was called the "Chief of Staff" at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. We may consider that quite a big title for such a small department. In comparison, Lauderdale and Colbert have only a "Chief Deputy."

Now Tim McWhorter was again in the news, but not for anything good. He had been placed on leave due to discrepancies in the property department of which he was still overseer. TM issued a press release that he had done nothing wrong.

As hard as it must have been to accept this speed bump in his career, TM was now divorced and his personal life was about to go off the rails completely.

To be continued...
