Kavanaugh Votes in Favor of Planned Parenthood

In case you're not a regular reader of our blog, we do not support induced abortion as a means of birth control. We do support Planned Parenthood or any other organization promoting other means of birth control for those who want it...particularly since our schools seem to have failed in this.

Earlier today, Brett Kavanaugh cast the deciding vote not to hear appeals by the States of Kansas and Louisiana. The lower court decisions in question involved the use of Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood. On the surface, this may sound like a well thought out decision on Kavanaugh's part and one that bodes well for his fairness in all matters. Yet, is it?

Some pundits say Kavanaugh voted no in order not to call undue attention to himself after his recent turbulent confirmation hearing. Silly us, we thought a Supreme Court justice voted to hear any appeal with merit which had not already been decided in some other de facto manner.

So is Kavanaugh really more astute than we've given him credit for, or is he simply voting the easy way out? Let's see how the next big test goes.

Other surprises? Clarence Thomas voted yes and even mentioned Planned Parenthood being accused of selling fetal parts. Yes, accused as in it was only an accusation that was later proved false.

We understand that some create "fake news" in order to make money from it. That's outrageous enough. Yet with those who feel their cause is a moral one, isn't telling a falsehood to advance it just a little contrary to the cause itself?
