Casey White: Haldol Moobs?

During the past week, several have pointed out that, if our infamous escapee is on anti-psychotic drugs, he's not now. This could be a very dangerous situation for Vicky White or anyone who comes into the felon's path.

We've also seen comments about Casey White's enlarged breasts. What's going on? We asked someone in the medical profession:

Males with Klinefelter's Syndrome sometimes have enlarged mammaries. Since White is a father, we can rule that out. Older, as in 70s or 80s with diminished hormones? No, he's in his late 30s. That usually leaves just drugs, and many psych drugs can have this effect. Haldol is an older drug that is very cheap at this point and often preferred to treat prisoners who aren't deemed worthy of state of the art meds. If I had to guess, Casey has been on haloperidol or something very similar for quite some time.

For those who have asked about the pair securing run of the mill medications, the two won't always be front page news. Travel out of the Southeast and some cities have a doc in the box on every corner, some of them "free" clinics. So don't worry too much about Vicky's waddle getting out of hand without her meloxicam.

Previous Escapes from the LCDC? You Betcha!

We weren't sure whether to laugh or groan when a reader stated she could recall no previous escapes from the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Here's a few over the last two decades.

In February 2003, William Shane Nichols, 30, made a run from a deputy while attending his father's visitation at a local funeral home. He was apprehended less than 24 hours later.

September 2003, Travis Montrell Smith, 17, ran through an open detention center door as another inmate was being released. He was arrested later that same day after getting into a fight in West Florence.

December 2004, Keith Dewayne Jones, 21, was placed in a holding cell adjacent to municipal court awaiting his case to be called. As the door was opened for another prisoner, he ran out and escaped through the courtroom, injuring officer Mickey Hines who attempted to stop him. After only a few minutes, authorities spotted Jones at the corner of Seminary and Dr. Hicks, wearing only his underwear. He was promptly taken into custody.

January 2006, Lamont Nance, 26, escaped during a head count after a jailer(s) left several doors unlocked. He was arrested two months later in Sheffield.

February 2006, Davis Lynn Hamm, 25, and Jerry Randall Myrick, 29, both jail trusties, escaped while unloading a truck of supplies just outside the booking room of the jail. Both men left notes saying they hoped there would be no hard feelings. They were both apprehended later that day.

October 2007, three inmates escaped from the unlocked holding cell at municipal court. On the run were Demetrius Thompson, found later that day at a Florence school, Adam Dale Johnson who was captured the next day, and James Powell captured at a later date.

August 2009, Rodney Rodell Davis, 42. walked away from a work detail outside the detention center and managed to commit three robberies before being captured near the library two days later.

October 2009, Jory Scott Wood, 27, walked away from the detention center. He was captured in Lawrenceburg six months later.

September 2012, four inmates escaped the detention center via an air conditioner duct. Gone were Ricky Dewane Lawson, 28, Wesley Lee Gibson, 26, Damien Lee Nix, 23, and Robert Lee Brown, 23. Three were arrested the next day, with the fourth captured some time later in Evergreen, Alabama.

April 2013, Terry Wayne Myers, 43, escaped through the air conditioning system. He was apprehended some days later in Laurel County, Kentucky.

June 2013, Jerry Don Crowden, 41 year-old perennial Shoals Bad Boy, climbed over a fence at the detention Center  Crowden was later apprehended and is currently serving a 20 year sentence at Limestone Correctional Center. This was his second escape. He will not be released until 2033.

This ends Sheriff Ronnie Willis' tenure. We'll look at escapes from the LCDC under Rick Singleton in a few days.

Phillip Pettus Says Gun Rights are "Sacred"

"Phillip Pettus will always protect our sacred 2nd Amendment Rights." - Pettus' most recent mail-out

In case you think this article is supporting more gun control, think again. This blog is simply to demonstrate how Phillip Pettus both thinks the area voters are stupid and has no qualms about blaspheming.

What is the meaning of sacred?

From the Oxford English Dictionary:

connected with God (or the gods) or dedicated to a religious purpose and so deserving veneration.

    Similar:
holy, hallowed, blessed, blest, consecrated, dedicated, sanctified

We believe the word Phillip (The First!) was looking for is Constitutional. Big difference. Oh, but you say it depends on the person. You mean if Hasbro ceases production of Boggle, Peggy Hill's sacred right has been violated?

No. Pettus is simply using a word he thinks those less educated of the electorate will swallow. He thinks it makes him sound like a crusader for God's way. If he thinks guns are a sacred right, why isn't our right to vote on issues on which we pay tax? Don't forget he helped take that right away from the citizens of Florence.

Speaking of God, we wonder how He feels about Pettus using the word sacred in connection with a necessary evil?

White & White: All You Need Are a Car and an Alias

A 2007 Blazing Copper Ford Edge - Not exactly an escape car from from the pen of Ian Fleming or John Le Carre. Tuned up, it gets 25 mpg highway. That doesn't make for hassle free long range driving. Yet U.S. Marshals say that was what Vicky White and Casey White made their Shoals getaway in.

Did we say Vicky White? Sometimes she's April Davis or Renee Marie Maxwell. Both are aliases that law enforcement says she's used in the past. Moon Night's alter egos have nothing on Vicky's.

As of now, we know only that the Shoals' own Bonnie & Clyde made it as far as Rogersville. There is CCTV footage of the car in and around eastern Lauderdale, but no more information has been released...yet.

That is if we don't count the video of the two Whites leaving the Lauderdale County Detention Center:

Since when does the prisoner walk behind the correction officer? Wasn't anyone monitoring their movements in real time at the LCDC?

When you go to the polls on May 24th, pick the best of the two viable candidates for a new sheriff!

Carnival Chaos: Video & Eye Witness Accounts

A carnival came to Florence in early April. There were problems - we don't know any details, but after that it seems many in Colbert County were leery of the James Gang carnival from Andalusia. Press made assurances that this would be family oriented, with absolutely no problems. Best laid plans, and all that.

Things went well until Saturday night. Several have reported smaller fights over the entire evening. Then at 9:00 p.m., two rival groups really got down to business. You can view some stills from a video here thanks to a concerned citizen who could get no answers to her questions. We understand the video was even posted to the Muscle Shoals Police Facebook page and promptly deleted by the MSPD. Anyone need to borrow a copy of 1984

Many comments mentioned hearing four gunshots. Others said a Taser was used four times and made a loud pop each time. We also have reports of schools involved, but decided not to mention since all are juveniles.

Two interesting comments -  Two young "ladies" from Leighton cursed us for even mentioning the disturbance and one man accused us of lying about the entire event. Needless to say, these three are not considered desirable readers. (Our original post stated unconfirmed and we amended our firearm shooting description as soon as more information came in.) The young man in green did require some medical attention, but was released to police.

A few de classe readers called the fight reports clickbait to earn money from Facebook. In case any are not familiar with FB, posters receive no money from individual clicks be it one or ten thousand. That also goes for Blogspot.

Many have also pointed out that they no longer feel safe at fairs, carnivals, etc. It's sad, but we agree with them. Between untrained ride personnel and thugs in general, we advise taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese instead.

Warrant Issued for Vicky White - She Sold House for What?

A warrant was issued earlier today for former Lauderdale Corrections employee Vicky Sue White. What was the final piece of the puzzle to justify this warrant? While we have no firm information on that, we can say her house sale was truly an eye-opener.

V. White's house in Lexington was valued by the county at $204,700.00. According to a local news source, she sold the house in April for $95,550.00. Why would she take that much less than the appraised value? We're experiencing a real estate boom, and she sells at 47% of its alleged worth.

Today also brought news that there is no news of Vicky and her "Clyde" Casey White. This escape was extremely well thought-out, and this Romeo and Juliet (in reverse) may never be found. While we've been told that Vicky also sold off other assets, it's likely she wouldn't have much more than 100K in her possession. How long will that last a couple on the run?

Escape: Facts Keep Changing?

As of Sunday evening, both Casey Cole White and Vicky Sue White are still missing. He's a 38 year-old confessed hit man, and she's a 55 year-old corrections official. A match certainly not made in heaven, but perhaps somewhere much farther south?

In the past three days, there have been conflicting reports on three issues. How tall is C. White? Perhaps at his height, it really doesn't matter, but is he 6'6" or 6'9"? Does he have hair or a shaved head? The above photo was just released today, but on Friday Sheriff Singleton presented this pic as having been taken February 25th of this year:

Except for the ears, there's not much resemblance. Who knows what the two look like after barbering and hair coloring?

While not an inconsistency, all reports are leading the reader to believe these two are still together. Obviously, Vicky thought she was part of a duo, but who thinks the inmate who has killed at least one woman and assaulted others will hang onto her when she becomes a liability?

Most fugitives are caught sooner or later. Let's hope the $10K reward helps ensure it's sooner for Casey White.

HAPPY MAY DAY
