It's Not AI, It's Real Death & Dysfunction

The photos of the Double Springs family aren't some humorous invention of Artificial Intelligence. Sadly, the individuals accused of killing their two month-old daughter are more than real.

Shannon Lee Stewart's Facebook page often presents him in a stained University of Alabama hoodie, while his partner Brittany Scoggins, at the age of only 24, displays her dyed jet black hair. The boy sports a bowl haircut, while the girl has untreated strabismus. The now deceased infant is always photographed in clothing so large that it's falling from her small body. Pics from a party show a red Alabama "A" on the wall immediately adjacent to a cross, both above a small table holding two full ashtrays of smokes. His bio says he works in construction, and she's more often than not PWP.

One reader has told us the couple had been on DHR's radar for some time, but no action had been taken. Now both Stewart and Scoggins have been arrested. If you think it can't get worse, read on.

The current charges against Scoggins are two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, three counts of chemical endangerment, and failure to appear. More charges may be added at the upcoming indictment.

The 32 year-old Stewart is currently facing one count of sexual assault of a child less than 12, two counts of willful abuse of a child, three counts of chemical endangerment, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and capital murder.

There's currently a gag order on official comment on this case, but the mugshot of the father depicts him with a bandaged (slit?) throat. It's also been reported that the infant was pronounced at the hospital by the coroner. Lakeland Hospital in Winston County doesn't even have a physician present in the emergency department?

Anyone for a move to West Virginia?
