A Shoals resident sent the above picture of Florence Harbor. The weed in the shot is believed to be Hackberry or Willow. We agree that the harbor should be cleared of excess and unwanted vegetation regularly.

Some misunderstood our reference to mentally ill students in a recent blog on Brooks High School. We were not referring to the victims of bullying, but to the bullies. These people have serious aggression problems and should be segregated from innocent students who are in school to obtain an education.

Shoalanda is suing Roy Moore for 46.982 gazillon dollars. Why? Just on general principle. That seems to be all it takes for Roy to sue those he doesn't like.
In case anyone hasn't heard, Moore is suing Sacha Baron Cohan and Showtime for 95 million dollars for making him seem foolish. We have news: Roy doesn't need any help with looking foolish. How many of us would fly from Gadsden to Washington to receive an award from an organization we'd never heard of? We're guessing not a very large percentage of normal people would have run out to purchase airline tickets without first Googling the fictitious entity. At least not any without excess egos and feelings of entitlement.
Anyone think Baron Cohen is shaking in his Bruno boots?
In response to the post on the Florence Harbor, if you think the weeds look bad at the harbor, Shoals Area citizens should drive by and examine the property prior to arriving at the harbor. The property that contains what's left of Funland WaterPark waterslide and adjoining property is an eyesore and embarrassment to the community.
