You have to ask why some individuals are running for office. Their platforms are mainly supporting business and apple pie. The most troubling thing is that they're running against qualified incumbents who have been huge successes in office. Is it an ego thing? Are they that blind?
Yet sometimes they win. Look at Strat Byars in Frankln County who unseated a certified long time county employee for whatever deluded reasons he had. He did mention his father's service to the county. We have a Lauderdale candidate like that in the municipal elections; he's actually listed his father's 49 years in government as one of HIS accomplishments. Ignorance isn't the word. Then we have one in another Lauderdale city who actually said vote for a "man." Too bad he couldn't show us a real one.
Vote wisely on August 25th.
In case you missed it, woman beater/thief Ryan Kent Pollard was arrested again. He's also out on bond again. What does it take?
