A Father at 15?

Google 15 year-old boy and the above image is one that appears. What does he bring to mind? We sincerely hope no one says someone who has just became a father.

Yet, five years ago, a 15 year-old boy in Franklin County did become a father. Then almost three years ago, he became a father for the second time. On Sunday, he became the father of a deceased son who had died a needless death. Is this what you want for your son?

We don't know what kind of upbringing the now 20 year-old Franklin County man had, but please take time to talk to your son about sex, birth control, and responsibility. It may not be how you want to spend a Saturday afternoon, but it's part of being a parent.

As for the young man in Franklin County, we hope he and his fiancee' find the help they need. No matter what they have or haven't done, this can't be easy for them.
