He's Squeaky Clean, but Won't Pay His Fine?

 

A reader asked us to do an article on a local musician just getting back on his feet. This reader felt another local publication had "done him wrong." We decided to look into it.

First, had we ever mentioned this gentleman? We found two references; one promoting his then latest album and one eight years later lamenting how some individuals think they deserve a pass when they commit crimes. What had this other publication said? We found only mentions of arrests; in other words, pretty common stories about drug use in the Shoals.

Next, had this man really reformed? We checked and he still owes a small fine from a domestic violence conviction while he was riding high in public opinion. Was not paying this fine his way of thumbing his nose at local law enforcement?

Our take on his claims? If this gentleman will pay his fine*, we'll be happy to showcase his current successes. How's that?

* The one we accessed is a City of Florence arrest. He also had several in Lauderdale County on which we haven't checked.
