Flying Pigs and Nick Saban

 

Even Auburn fans (and our one Ohio State blogger) can give praise to Nick Saban when due. His response to the corona virus has been an inspiration. Here's an excellent article from APR that says it much better than we can:

While we're logically aware that God doesn't take sides in SEC football, we did have to speculate that He had good reason to be on UA's side in the Iron Bowl.

Before you get too excited about the new year, remember 2022 brings a state-wide election and the campaigns that go with it. Obviously in Alabama, the senate race is the one to watch, but this time there's a local element.

Two Shoals area men are running for the position of state auditor - Andrew Sorrell and Brent Woodall. We've known Andrew for some time and always appreciated his help with animal welfare issues. This week we ran into Brent while running errands and had a chance to speak with him briefly.

We were delighted to find Brent to be a sage and down to earth person who genuinely cares about the state. As of now, Andrew and Brent lead in most polls. It's going to be a very interesting election.
