Who Shot Whom? It's a Valid Question

 

At least two readers have had questions about how the deadly shootout went down in the Muscle Shoals Mall parking lot. Very interesting questions, indeed.

Reader 1: Today’s (TD) story states that “Risner’s gun remained in his holster...”, but it doesn’t mention whether or not Dotson fired his weapon. I just find that interesting given the fact that we now know that Dotson had been employed by Martin. Wouldn’t a true journalist at least mention that “coincidence”? Is the Times Daily reporting news, or is it a mouthpiece for the Colbert County Courthouse?

Reader 2:  Please explain how Sheffield took the lead in this showdown. The original crime occurred in Muscle Shoals. The pursuit ended in Muscle Shoals. Muscle Shoals has a much larger and better trained police force. Then the million dollar question - someone please tell us which officer actually shot Brian Lansing Martin.

We're sure at least some of these questions will be answered by the SBI once its investigation is concluded. Until then, our readers know as much as we do about the tragic events of October 1st.
