Before we venture into the exciting world of variances, we'll fill readers in on the current status of the brouhaha concerning the Muscle Shoals City Council and answer some questions.
1. Of the several bloggers who toil here, only one (as far as we know) lives in Muscle Shoals and knows Gina Clark personally.
2. For those who say there was no equipment donation (actual amount just under $60,000.00 as we now understand it), you'll probably be delighted to know that the official minutes of the meeting in question will not be available for about five weeks or so, judging from current record keeping. If the official record should show that no donation was made and that Ms. Clark engaged in no verbal sparring with any older citizen, we'll not only apologize, we'll buy Ms. Clark a steak dinner.

Since the last Muscle Shoals Council meeting, several disgruntled citizens have been looking into the finances of various elected officials. It seems one council member received a PPP loan for almost $9,000.00 for a business using a residential address. The name of the business was not given, but the address is certainly not that of the one that signs the official's paychecks.
We've been told that to run a home business in Muscle Shoals, one must request a variance. Our concerned citizen believes this has not happened. So are some citizens more favored than others? Rather like the minister who allegedly runs a halfway house for sex offenders in a Muscle Shoals subdivision?
Ah, Muscle Shoals, where they make Andy and Dick look good.
