Shoals Gasoline Mafia?

There can be many reasons for varying gasoline prices across the state. Our J. Redmon has his doubts about the Shoals:

A recent article in 'Yellowhammer News' commented on 'Dropping gasoline prices across the state'. The article is 'partially' correct.

Gasoline (regular) prices in Huntsville and Decatur areas currently range from a low of $2.18/gal, to a high of $2.29/gal. This down from $2.29-$2.37/gal 2 weeks ago.

In The Shoals? Well, that's another story. Local gasoline (regular) prices range from a low of $2.31/gal, to a high of $2.36/gal. This is down from $2.34-$2.42/gal 2 weeks ago.

It's fairly common knowledge that members of the local 'Shoals' Gasoline Mafia' meet weekly to decide 'where to set prices' for gasoline.

You didn't REALLY think it was 'coincidence' that almost all of the gas stations in the area had THE SAME prices, did you?

So do you agree with J.? Tell us your money-saving tips!
