By now you've probably read about Tuscumbia police officer Greg Scoggins' behavior last Saturday night. Did it come as a surprise to anyone?
Let's look back six years: Scoggins took his own gun, while on duty, onto protected federal land, and shot an animal that was considered by many to be a pet. Nice guy, huh?
His excuse was that the City of Muscle Shoals didn't pay him enough to afford food after he paid his child support. Say what?
Our opinion (yes, our opinion and .79 will get you a cup of coffee at the Quik-Mart) is that anyone who would do that to a half-tame, protected animal would not hesitate to shoot an innocent citizen if he thought he could get away with it. The only thing that saved Ryan Williams this past weekend was that he had the good sense to video the encounter.
We predict Greg Scoggins has a fantastic and well-deserved career ahead as a ditch digger.
If we haven’t read about it, could you kindly link us?

DeleteNo. It's not a surprise. Some of the Tuscumbia,AL police officers had harassed innocent people before. This is nothing new.
