Who in the Name of Paul Revere is Teaching History at UNA?

 

In the past few months, we've seen the Statue of Liberty referred to as a gift from France in gratitude for U.S. assistance in World War II, a U.S. Senator commenting that we fought communism in World War II, and now the Flor-Ala is telling us that the Confederate Monument is an oppressive remnant from the Colonial Era. 

Published on January 15th: The statue currently resides in front of Florence Courthouse, a place built to represent justice but instead serves as a painful reminder of oppression and colonial rule. The Shoals racial injustice group believes a more appropriate place for the statue is at Soldier’s Rest Cemetery, which is where the concrete has been decanted.

It's also troubling to learn that the concrete was decanted. Was 2020 a good year for concrete? 

We further learn from this article that PSS is gunning for Sheriff Rick Singleton. Perhaps Big Daddy Betterton has a relative who's applied for the position? It seems a Do Nothing Party is alive and well...
