Return to Anderson on Super Tuesday

While we all eagerly await election results, here's an update on the Town of Anderson.

1. It seems Anderson already has a dedicated deputy whose salary is paid in part by the town. If you have problems, you need to report your concerns to the sheriff's department. They can then pay special attention to your area.

2. Neighborhood watch? One of our regular readers tells us he knows of no attempts to organize one. Even if homes are scattered, a watch could prove beneficial. If problems continue, it's worth a shot.

3. Council meetings? We were too late to announce a Monday night meeting, but hope to have details on the next such meeting. Write out your concerns for the deputy whom we understand attends at least some of these gatherings.

4. Reprisals? We've had one gentleman who didn't want to comment on crime due to fear of reprisals. We understand this. Just remember, if you don't report the crime, no one who can help knows that it actually happened!

5. We're still making a list of crime problems in the Eastern Lauderdale town. Send us your concerns; you will always be anonymous.
