A reader asked what the "POA" referenced in yesterday's blog stood for. We had no idea, since we were pretty sure it wasn't power of attorney. When contacted, our guest submitter replied that it was a typo - it should have read "PFA" which stands for protection from abuse.
So why would new police officers be served with protection from abuse orders? It seems a recent Muscle Shoals recruit lacked only two weeks completing his basic training when his wife had him served. Really nice guy; we're sure he would have fit right in. (For the intellectually impaired, that last statement was sarcasm.)

If any missed the two Ashton McCluskey videos from last week, you're out of luck now. The site is down. Well, at least the indicted teacher's original site is down. There's a new site using her name. At present the new owner is hawking soccer betting; who knows what might come next...
