October was a busy month in Sheffield:

1. Fizz Lounge on Hatch Boulevard closed.

2. Mayor Steve Stanley asked for a meeting of the Inspiration Landing Board. So far, crickets on that.

3. There was a murder-suicide in Park Place on the town's high street.

4. Jerk's Caribbean Bar & Grill, also on Sheffield's main street, closed.

Often our readers ask for good news; what if there is no good news to publish? There's certainly none coming from Sheffield, at least as far as the economy is concerned.

Will November hold positive news? We await...
