Gerald Surratt Jr.: Out of Prison & Back in Jail

 

Why in the name of Harry Houdini was Gerald Winston Surratt Jr. released from prison? He failed to make parole during his last hearing and was not scheduled to be released until November 2023. Now he's walking free, or at least was.

Surratt, known as Gerry or Jerry, was arrested in Florence on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant (Universal Citation) on November 5th. Perhaps Surratt hasn't been spouting nonsense all these years when he's claimed his second cousin Circuit Court judge could make things go away?
