We Want to Borrow Your Car, But...

 

You need to wash it first.

You need to change the oil.

The radio is terrible; can't you have it repaired?

And the upholstery? Who would want to sit on it?

This is where you tell the would-be borrower that he's right. You'll keep the car just as it is and let him find something more worthy of him...for free no less.

That basically is what Muscle Shoals High School has asked from the City and the Recreation Department. The school has also come back that it doesn't want to take over all four fields...just the largest. Oh, why didn't they say so to start with?

Muscle Shoals High wants "pristine," so let the school do like Florence, Sheffield, and Deshler and build their own. Problem solved.

This whole debacle brings up memories of Muscle Shoals students calling Deshler "the ghetto." Not a nice memory, is it? How Muscle Shoals or any other students act toward their competition is much more important than the surroundings in which they play.

Surely, the OG knows that...doesn't he?
