And You're Protesting What Again?




You know how you get those Facebook notifications that someone has mentioned you in a comment. Our blog received one today regarding a post from Project Say Something. It seems that organization named two gentlemen as bloggers here. Guess what? Neither one is. Actually, if we read it correctly, the post says Person A is Person B is Shoalanda. 

Neither man has ever even sent us a guest blog unless he was using a pseudonym. We've read posts from these gentlemen for years, and the two don't sound even remotely alike. So much for the powers of deduction at PSS.

We're sure someone is owed an apology, but we're just not certain whom...


Over the years we've commented that each individual is certainly entitled to donate money to whatever charity/organization he or she chooses. In other words, Joe may give to Transportation Funds for St. Jude Families while Jim may give to Save the Fleas. We don't believe that we have the right to tell Jim that he can't give to one organization simply because we think another one is better.

Similarly, we don't wish to dictate which social cause someone should support as long as it's legal. We do believe that individuals need to realize that they can't expect everyone to think their cause tops all others, especially when such an idea is obviously ludicrous.
