The Muscle Shoals 100th anniversary celebration the end of next month - BEGINS IN FLORENCE AT SHOALS THEATER!

The insiders say it is a major mess and no entertainment lined up - seems city hall is laying it off on Rodney Hall.

Advertising on city website - flyers AND DUMP TRUCKS

NOTHING LIKE PAYING A FLORENCE BUSINESS FOR A PLACE TO HAVE A VIDEO SHOWN. What is wrong with the high school auditorium or the "amphitheater" at city hall?

And, you know the few that go to Shoals Theater to see the rerun of the 30 minute video "Muscle Shoals" will naturally eat and drink a few beers in Florence - enhancing its tax base.

We agree with our reader that this celebration has not started off well. Perhaps the City should call in someone who is capable of running other people's business as well as his own?
