Next time if you'd like to know information we are working on you might just ask instead of taking some second hand "insider" comments. This person obviously has zero insight into what is going on. We have been working on this for several months and honestly have done it in amazing time. An event this size should take at least a year to put together, we've done it in the few months since the city contacted us.
The 10 year celebration of the 1 hour 47 minute Muscle Shoals documentary is not being presented by the city of Muscle Shoals. It was planned the same weekend so that out of town tourists, sponsors, filmmakers and the public could have a full weekend of of activities celebrating "Muscle Shoals music". As a matter of fact our "presenting" sponsor is Visit the Shoals (Lauderdale Tourism). It is a fundraiser for the Muscle Shoals Music Association and the Muscle Shoals Music Foundation. The filmmakers wanted to give us yet another gift to help the music community.
The documentary is about the entire region, which was once called the Muscle Shoals region and is absolutely internationally our musical brand. The Shoals theater is the largest and most historic theater in the area. This local yocal bickering between the cities is exactly what has held our area back for decades. My Dad used to tell me, "son our competition is not in Florence, it's the world"! He was correct. We are the Shoals!

First, we wish to thank Rodney for this. We think we can safely say our reader who previously commented had nothing ill to say about Rodney, and we can certainly say we appreciate his contacting us and hope he will write for us much more in the future.
His father's words? Priceless and profound!

Often we don't think enough about the actual meaning of words. We read this quote a few days ago and agree with it completely:
Chance is perhaps the pseudonym of God when he did not want to sign. - Anatole France
When speaking to anyone, on this subject I always refer to Florence as the butthole of the world. I couldn't possibly care less what Mr. Hall thinks.
