What would some elected officials in Lauderdale County do to maintain the infamous Ag Center? According to some local political watchdogs, quite a bit. No, you won't read the official details in the TimesDaily. You may soon be able to read about how many think these elections were stolen in the Daily Mail (along with the rest of the world). In the interim, you can read about it in the Athens News Courier:
"State Representative, District No. 1, State Republican Executive Committee, Place No. 1, State Republican Executive Committee, Place No. 2 and State Republican Executive Committee, Place No. 3.
“The aforementioned election results are being contested on the grounds of malconduct, fraud, and/or corruption allegedly perpetrated by Senator Tim Melson, Representative Phillip Pettus, Candidate Scott Jones, Candidate Phillip Pettus II, and others known or unknown, satisfying $17-13-78, Code of Alabama, 1975. More specifically, the election contest would allege certain violations of Alabama Campaign Laws and Alabama Campaign Finance Laws,” according to a notice of contest obtained by The News Courier."
With less than a month until the runoff, we're eager to know how this will be handled. To the residents of Lauderdale County, just think how much of your tax dollars are now forced to be wasted because of this alleged fraud!
Malconduct, Fraud, and/or Corruption
You get what you vote for Lauderdale county and Alabama. When will voters realize that this one party rule is the breeding ground for corruption and theft among elected officials? No time soon if the state republican party committee has their way! Keep them fearful and confused. Just look at the television ads the current batch of republican candidates just ran. THE SKY IS FALLING because there are democrats on the planet and "I alone" can save you. (And oh yeah, I can pucker up to The Donald better than my opponent ever could...SMOOTCH!) That was the pitch, no policy, no plan, just I can save you from "fill in the blank" and I LOVE DONALD!
ReplyDeleteI could list all the republican party elected officials in the state of Alabama currently under indictment or facing charges but what good would it do? The state senator from District 1 in Lauderdale county, Alabama has nothing to do with Nancy Pelosi or abortion rights or the supreme court but tell that to Ronnie "Rebop" and Maudine Masher of Greenhill when they are getting ready to fill out a ballot. STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN! No matter WHO is on the ticket. Democrats are demons straight from hell! Brother Crenshaw of the First Baptist church said so! Is there any hope for fixing stupid in this state? It will take decades and generations to reverse the trend. And in the meantime; Yes, you get what you vote for and will allow to win elections not only in Lauderdale county, Alabama but the nation...hook or CROOK!
