You're probably not familiar with Jake Schafer (pictured above). No one seems to be. Yet he is challenging Mo Brooks, Katie Britt, and Mike Durant in the May Republican primary for the U.S. Senate. We're guessing he will be the next to throw his support to another candidate and abandon ship, leaving just the trio of office seekers.
Another interesting tidbit is that Mo is now referring to himself as an "outsider." That's after his holding elected office for decades. It's just been revealed that dear Mo cheered on the invading crowd on January 6th of last year. Feel free to place that in either column you wish.
Trump's support of Brooks? Our former president recently commented that Katie Britt "looks and sounds like a winner." We're sure Mo was extremely pleased.
Could there be still other candidates to qualify? Certainly, but it's not that likely at this point. Our prediction is a runoff between Brooks and Britt.

Democrats? Currently there's just one Dem running for the Senate seat. His name is Brandaun Dean. We've linked his website here in case you want to know more. If no others qualify, he will be the automatic winner of the Democratic nomination on May 24th.
As a Democrat and apparently a very liberal one at that, what kind of chance does he have? See below:

OR is it just one of your ingrained "Dog whistles"? You are probably right though, he doesn't have any chance of winning in Alabama as a democrat...he is not a failed football coach with the intelligence of an earthworm and he has never been an insurrectionist and urged a crowd to storm the capitol to violently overthrow the federal government....BUT a THINKING person would likely choose the flying pig as the next senator from Alabama rather than what the repulsivecan party puts forth as the candidate of Trump. The pig would show more dignity in office and there are enough republican "HOGS" in Washington as is!
