Who's on the Sheffield Board of Education?

A Sheffield resident and regular reader recently wrote to us with a concern about the Sheffield Board of Education. This particular reader has long contributed to our blog with comments and ideas for articles. In fact, we should have long ago given this contributor a screen name (as we did Leslie M. Shoals) in order to create less confusion.

At one point several months ago, this reader sent us a post concerning Steve Hargrove leaving the BOE and Christy Casiday taking his place. This personnel change had not been reported in the TimesDaily, and our reader felt the citizens of Sheffield should know. We agreed. Absolutely no one accused anyone here of any malice toward Ms. Casiday for reporting this...that's politics. The old saw about heat in the kitchen comes to mind. Kudos to Ms. Casiday for her innate understanding.

Then we posted an extremely similar item about Titian Scales, and five or six of her friends jump into a fray they've manufactured themselves. Why?

We then decided to look at the BOE's website to see what it tells parents about the members. Here are the links:

Notice anything odd? They all have the same biography...absolutely nothing, including the superintendent. Use the page's search option and you get more of the same.

This blog has many readers in Sheffield, and some actually have children in the school system. We're sure they would like to find board member information easily. Why can't they?
