Alleged Victim was 14, Strip Searched, & Patted Down

Most cases of alleged teacher impropriety come down to he said/she said. We cannot tell you what Coach Josh LouAllen says about his forced leave, but we can tell  you what the family of the alleged victim says.

According to S.W., her 14 year-old daughter was accused of having a weapon at Muscle Shoals High School. LouAllen took the girl to a private room (we have no idea if anyone else was present or not), instructed the girl to strip to only her bra and underpants, and then patted her down. Roy Moore coming to mind here, is he?

Her parents were not informed in advance. No weapon was found. There are conflicting stories here about Chad Holden's role in this debacle, but we have no inside information to report.

What we can definitely say is that some years ago, a local district attorney was involved in something similar with older teenage boys. He was acquitted on state charges of sexual misconduct, but convicted on federal charges of violating the youths' civil rights.

Yes, Supt. Lindsay says no laws were broken. Since no one here is a juris doctor, we'll leave that open for your interpretation and not ours. 

Do sexual incidents happen at other local school systems? Unfortunately, yes; however, not with the frequency they seem to occur in Muscle Shoals. We can say that Coach LouAllen was incredibly naive to have participated in this search at best. At worst? You be the judge...
