Update on Derek Logue/ALEA Unwanted?

Derek Warren Logue, the one-time Sheffield/Russellville resident, won't be relocating to the Shoals. Logue did make bail on his nine theft charges in Broward County, Florida, and has established a permanent address in Tobias, Nebraska. If you've never heard of this town, don't feel alone. Let's just be glad that Colbert County will not again become the ground zero for "sex offender activism."

Rep. Phillip Pettus wants to disband ALEA. We doubt that his proposed bill will get out of committee. Wouldn't it be nice if Pettus tried fixing real problems instead of imagined slights against state troopers?

We will say this for the Ag Center: Look how quickly things are moving along. Whether for good or bad, the three-ring barnyard circus will be here in a matter of months, while John Elkington will still be hustling for funding for Inspiration Landing.

Anyone Else Think Pettus Has Watched Too Much Junior?
